We always say that Real Estate sales pick up in Edmonton once spring rolls around. Your definition of spring can be tricky around here, depending on whether you consider it a date, or the first time the snow melts, or not really spring til we’re through our very last sighting of the white stuff. Home buyers and sellers have decided that its spring, and sales activity has picked up in recent weeks. Now, you may recall that we recently reported March’s sales data and indicated that sales were down in our city. It’s true that most types of property were seeing slower sales than the same time last year, but sales had increased from February to March. As spring actually starts to take an indisputable hold on our city, we’ll see those sales figures increase.
This year, we’re seeing inventory levels that buyers haven’t enjoyed for quite some time. We’re also seeing strong prices. So while buyers have the choice their looking for, sellers know they can command a fair deal. When the market is so encouraging for both buyers and sellers, things should really continue to heat up in Edmonton Real Estate.
